The Dimmer Control is intended to use in close proximity with your LED lighting. Unlike other dimmers, it operates on low voltage DC, which brings many benefits including small size, ultra low power consumption, no heat, and extends the life of your LEDs.
It is important to note the Dimmer Control is designed to operate on 15 Volts DC, and can handle a maximum of 1,500 milliamps of load, or ~38 Watts of lighting. When paired with any of our power supplies, the dimmer can be adjusted fully downward and is effectively an on/off switch. Consult with your lighting retailer if you have any questions regarding its use.
When installing the Dimmer Control, please take note of the Wiring Legend Label on the cover. The label points out which wire lead is connected to the LED lighting, and which end is connected to the power supply. This label may be removed after installation is complete.
The wire cord provided may be shortened as needed or lengthened by splicing on additional low voltage wire between 18 and 24 AWG. Note the polarity of the cord is positive on the round insulated jacket, and negative on the scalloped jacket.
Mounting the Dimmer Control can be accomplished with a suitable double sided tape, or by mechanically fastening with screws through the slots on either side of the case.
